Looks good so far. The plank on frame Nordkap trawler I've been working on and off on for years hogged when we changed elevations so I can only work on it 4 months out of the year. That's a nice clean and true hill, who's kit is that? I've opened a few Lindberg kits and wondered why I paid money for them.

The deck was stained with a water-based wood stain that I use on my rifle stocks. It was stained dark, then a stripper was applied and allowed to only half set. The stripper and some of the stain was removed, leaving a lighter stain and darker colors in the joints and creases, creating a weathered look. Finally a top coat of Tru Oil was applied repeatedly to give the wood a slight shine and to protect it from the water.
