Go to ebay in your country (e.g. ebay.co.uk), do a international search for motorworks and subamarine. There are usually ones for sale in the USA but may ship internationally. Problem is that the frequency will probably be illegal - just dont tell anyone!

        Newest update on my oldest

Newest update on my oldest Wallyworld sub, I'm converting it to a Seawolf class looking sub...right now it has a shroud covering the prop in the back, I'm thiinking about shorting the sail by 1/2 inch
and doing away with the sail diving planes altogether.
I believe I will do everythiing alittle at a time so I can see how well
the sub will balance out and how will it handle once back in the wet stuff

        more later..pictures yes I hope..

              The VII C sub should

The VII C sub should be ready to test as a diver soon, I believe
that I have the correct amount of foam and the right balance to make her a very good diver with little effort...

then again I better not say that

                New update to the Wallyworld

New update to the Wallyworld sub

the now converted over Seawolf did work rather well outside that I need to remove some foam to make it not so tail happy.
On a few dives the rearend was above the surface cavitating, I have notied that once she gets below the surface she runs slow
but in a cool way, the changing the wiring to 6V helped with the speed and the turning got much better but I could keep her down
as long as I pulsed the down button every 2 seconds.
Now the cool thing I liked about the shourd in the back, I ran this thing through the plantlife there, no tangles of the prop recored!!!
I might have lost some speed but I gained a sub that would get itself tangled up in the weeds either

making a few changes and then back to the lake.

So no one on the other thread has tried a 9 volt battery. I know that myself and others use a 9v NiMH battery in our converted Academy 9B’s. After looking, two 9v batteries will fit with room to spare. When hooked in parallel they should give some decent run times. There was a person that converted his to 6 AAA and didn’t fry the controller, which should be about what the 9v puts out under a load. Anyone else try this or is there only one way to find out?

After making several runs with the red/green wire mod, I don’t think I will go up to 9v. My pool is not that big and with 9v it might be too fast for it. Yesterday I had the sub at almost perfect neutral buoyancy. You could take it down with the thruster and it would just hang at depth. That is until you started to move forward and then the nose would come up due to the bent aft planes. So last night I removed them and cut the rear section of the locking tabs off where it bent up. I then slowly heated the fin over a candle and with a little work the fin can be bent flat. It doesn’t look that bad after bending and now maybe it will stay at depth. It still snaps in good with what is left of the locks.

Next mod is for my Dallas. A fuel tank from a 1/48 scale P51 looks very close to the array pod for an Akula. I should be able to make an Akula sail from styrene and putty.

                                I kind of got side

I kind of got side tracked on another project. I have the tower complete and the pod almost done. It just needs a little sanding. I made a seven blade prop for it also. I will see if I can get some pics. I was going to make some molds of everything in case someone else wanted them. I still have a little work to do on the prop and then try to figure how to mold the thing.
