You think you have a problem with govmint types and your Oscar? My Typhoon has 20 functional missile tubes.
When I started building this many ages ago, we didn't have to worry about launching Estes rockets in public parks. I should probably get a jacket embroidered with "Yes, I am a rocket scientist, No, I am NOT A TERRORIST" before I take it out.
I SO wanted to do that with my Typhoon but my wife talked me out of it. I'd love to have torpedos for it, but I can't seem to find them in her scale. My current project, the OSCAR, is my first real complex build so it's going to be limited to just functioning without the bells and whistles. The Typhoon kit I have (that's the next build) has a lot more functions, like retractible tower gear that rotates when extended and retractible forward dive planes.

BTW, you wouldn't happen to have any pics or video of your sub would you? I'd love to see that. The Oscars and Typhoons are by far my favorite subs and I count myself as lucky for finding both of them to build.

I'm getting more and more apprehensive about running the SSUS because that thing is a work of art and I'd hate to have something happen to her. Also as more of a joke, I'm going to try and make the Oregon flag for my surface boats. It isn't as easy as it sounds because we have a two sided flag. State seal on one side, beaver on the other.

My last parts arrived on Sunday, and by a strange coincidence, we drove past one of the ponds on Monday. I didn't like what was there. It's a huge pond, don't get me wrong, but with all the waterfowl there, me thinks it's a duck pond. I'd love to run it there but it's been my experience that no park system in Oregon cleans the **** out of the water, so by the time my boat is ready (June), I suspect it'll smell like a sewage holding pond.
