Post Edit function disappeared

I noticed that the capability of editing a post one has made seems to have disappeared. I am logged in, so that is not the problem.
Any ideas??

Hi Tom,

I believe that the forum software is set to allow editing a post up to 15(?) minutes after the post was made.

I was going to add some photos from IPMS to my previous post in the Static section, but didn't see the Edit button. So, it disappears after a short time....An Inconvenient Truth. Not true on other sites that use the same system, such as Model Warships.

After 15 min the edit function is no longer available. Simply reply to your own message and post "Sold".

A moderator can edit the title of a post thread. I'll be glad to see that your SubSwap thread gets updated.

Is there a reason to set the "Edit" function to expire in 15 minutes? I know in other forums that use this setup a message can be edited by the original poster for extended periods of time.
