    They sure do!
Don does all his own glasswork.
The 8-balls visited his glass shop a few years ago for a tech session on laying up hulls.
He has a great setup, and shop, and his work is excellent.

He is planning on bringing some nice hull kits to market.
One I have wanted since one of the first Subregatta's.
I wish I could tell you but I am not a blabber mouth. BD.

Robbe has discontinued their ship line -- including subs.

I've known Don since we were members of the same boat club in Buffalo, NY. I didn't know he was into producing hulls, too. Of course, it's been a few years since we've talked.
Any hints at all? As in, modern vs WWII?

Re: Who actually makes sub kits?

Mostly all older and WW2 hulls.
Don said about 10 are in the works.
He did tell me I could spill the beans about the kit I am drooling over.
He bought the molds of the Type XXVI that Steve Walker made and will be starting to sell them.
Hands down my favorite U- boat!
As my friend Paul would say! SCHWEET!! BD.

Re: Who actually makes sub kits?

As Big Dave mentioned I do all my own fiberglass work in a dedicated climate controlled fiberglass shop I built about 5 years ago. I have about 10 different subs in the works that will be released over the next 10 to 12 months starting with the Type XXVI which will be available in about 1 month (I am not sure which one will be next but as soon as I know I will post it)

Also, as I have offered to others before and will mention here again, I am here to help anybody that needs fiberglass production work. I can make molds, large or small production runs, one offs or whatever is needed to help get new products to market. I am also open to wish lists for future projects, if there is something you would like to see let me know and I will see what can be done to make it happen. I currently produce nearly 150 different surface ship hulls as well from as small as 6" to as large as 10 feet so the shop is able to produce just about anything needed.

I want to see this hobby thrive so let me know what you would like or what I can do to help

That's good to know. Hopefully you've chosen some original subjects that have not been tackled much by other manufacturers.

So Dave Manley is no longer producing subs?

He packed in quite a while ago. Shame, they were very nice kits.

Submarine hulls that a customer can place an order for and actually receive the hull in due time would be priceless ! :^)
