I can't really recommend a book on Narvik, I'm afraid. Clay Blair's Hitler's U-Boat War Part 1 does have info on U-boats in Narvik but only a few pages.

Hey Doug.......dont know if you
Hey Doug.......dont know if you have seen this or not.....but it is a sonar image of the Royal Oak......taken by a sonar imaging company by the name of Adus I think......
Now if you compare the section on Scapa, Prien and the patrol sections on u47.org with this website you will see much of it has been stolen directly from the u47.org site. I recognised the text straight away as most of it was written by the u47.org owner and myself. Pure and simple theft. Just cut and paste. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement.
I guess there is nothing I can do about it. The so called “writers†are anonymous and there is no contact email for the site. Can anyone offer advice?
in the upper right corner of that site you can register. when you start that,
you get also info on copyright policy. try following up with a formal complaint.
unfortunately it shows the text in dutch for me, but I am sure you get to read the english version.
Hi Doug.....have you seen the documentary by Andrew Williams I believe.....Battle of the Atlantic? I have just picked this up and will watch it tonite.....Happy Holidays....Rick
I watched the documentary when it was broadcast on the BBC a few years ago. I can't remember too much detail other than it being a good watch. There is an accompanying book, which is good too.
Have you seen the film Das Boot? It is unmissable. The film is condensed from a 5-6 hour TV series, if my memory serves me correctly. Absolutely great. The novel Das Boot is very good too, very detailed and authentic.
Hey Doug.....yeah...I think I can recite every line from Das Boot from memory at this point.....still good every time I watch it....which is quite often........I have also purchased the book that is written by the same guy that did the documentary.....Andrew Williams...about half way through it.....very good....The DVD was excellent.......worth watching for sure.....Happy Holidays.....Rick
