    ALC's in ROV's?

Is it going to be worthwhile me installing an ALC in my O/D ROV? The whole thing is less than fifteen inches overall length, and will have independantly operated thrusters up forward and a separate steering nozzle at the stern.

    Cheers,

Try it and see. They're tiny devices now, so very easy to retrofit.

It's not the size of the ALC unit Andy, I just wondered if it was worthwhile fitting one into such a small sub.

As you say, it's worth a try.

        Don't think it's so much

Don't think it's so much the size of the sub, more the speed you expect it move along at. The higher the speed the more likely you are to need a leveller as the hydrodynamic forces overcome any static stability.

ROV's tend to move sedately, so you may not require one.

Exactly! Seaquel 5 will only be pottering about in the pool, preferably on the bottom, with all her lights on and attempting to pick up items with her hydraulic arm...if it works, that is.
