    Ballasting

So today I learned that I cannot ballast a static boat worth crap. When I weight it down tank on the surface i can get it nice and level but as soon as i flood the tank and go down the front end dips down way farther then the back. Doest the ballast tank need to be perfect centerline? Any tips? Should i just get it close and accept that its not going to be perfect.

    hey Nuke,
With the ballast tank flooded the bow will go down? With and empty ballast tank you get a nice sub floating at the scale waterline? If this is the case, sounds like you may just have to add a little foam above the water line in the bow. I have always built the sub and the ballast tank, then simply trim the boat around what I have, this is a caveman way to do it, but it works. Sounds like you almost got it, good luck. Jeff J.
