Another story from the odd side of things.... my interest in the paranormal and such things led me to a story reported in a podcast i listen to quite often.
the story is so strange, it is really not believable. but i'm putting it out there just for conversation's sake.
the story goes that during ww2, the nazis were trying to prove the existence of the "inner earth", the theory that there may be civilizations and large unexplored areas beneath the surface of our world (indeed, history shows that the nazis had a very strong interest in the occult and many things paranormal).
in trying to find this inner earth during the last months of the war, a uboat was displatched to an area in which, they believed, the entrance to this other world was located. their mission was to find this undersea doorway, to enter and explore, and to make contact with whatever may be there.
nuts, right?
im attaching what is claimed to be a letter detailing the mission many years later, in 1985. translated from german to english.
im interested to know if any of our resident experts can confirm any of the names involved in these letters.
this one is even too strange for me...but i thought it would be fun for others to see. enjoy!
