hey guys,
what is the best way to glue lexan plastic to itself? Will regular PVC purple primer and PVC glue work for this ? Thanks in advance. JEff Jones

Jeff - If your stuck gluing Polycarbonate to acrylic (however, I would do most anything to avoid this) Good old super glue will work well between them. I used it on a (in the field repair) several years ago on my type 1X and it worked so well, I haven't had to touch it since. Best Wishes Mike
Tom's right, Jeff. Ten Ax is great stuff. Its just like water - so you'll need to practice with it a little.
Here are the instructions:
"To assemble your model you must remember you will be welding, not gluing. This means that in order for your TENAX-7R to work the parts must be in place and touching. Then you simply touch the seam with your TOUCH-N-FLOW applicator.
The TENAX-7R will fuse the seam by capillary action. This will actually weld the parts. Now hold the parts for approximately 10 seconds or until you have a firm bond. The complete weld will take about five minutes to cure but you are able to continue before a full cure is complete."
I think tamiya is acetone.. TEN-X has somthing different in it to melt
poly-carb... cant remember the name right off hand. when i prepare the two pices to be welded together i sand the areas that will be glued and make sure they fit together good then clamp-em tight then put the ten-x to
it . let it sit for about twenty minutes and you will have one part.
sigpic. You have to ask yourself one question...would the admiral approve
