    Just finished SubmarineWorks Virginia class

Just finished SubmarineWorks Virginia class boat, USS North Carolina. Will be going to the lake this weekend, so hopefully, will have some running shots.
Still waiting for an SSY Akula hull (over 1 year now).
Have to replace the forward bayonet ring in my Engel USS Tecumseh.
Have been working on the dry section of the 1/20th scale TYpe II U-Boat.

      I working on a 1/144

I working on a 1/144 plastic Kilo. Dynamic dive only.

This is an attempt (hopefully not ill-fated) to run motor, servos, receiver, battery etc...wet. NO WTC. All parts are now treated internally with "corrosion X" with some parts having GE Silicone II RTV for water protection.

Will test this weekend and provide photos. Wish me luck.

          I currently have a mold

I currently have a mold master laid up based on the Subtech Albacore plans. I'm hoping to have her in the water by next fall. She's my first boat. She is going to be Phase 1 though. Finally got around to posting a build thread here.

            This is a Small Worlds

This is a Small Worlds Models KILO that I just finshed for Dom Meadows.

This last shoot is of a D&E Skipjack and the SWM KILO both are 1/96th and are very fine kits.

I'm 50% thru converting the 1/125th scale U99 VIIb from Revell to dynamic dive ( i'm thinking of doing a static dive for this sub eventually ). Got a 1/150th IXc Uboat and a 1/144th XXI U boat along with the standard Trumpeter Seawolf SSN kit ( be my first static dive sub ).

I'm in the middle of doing research towards building a 1/125th scale R/C model of the new Astute class SSN for the Royal Navy ( Subpirates Research page ). Before anyone asks why 1/125th well its simple , 1) not got a lot of storage space , 2) got a small car so 40" max length and 3) I have 2 squashed disks in my back meaning all models have to be small and light.

                Beautiful work on the Kilo

Beautiful work on the Kilo Brian - I wish I could weather that well! How did you do it?

I really like Dave Manley's work. He is one of the unsung heroes in model subs. He has the guts to sell subs that nobody ever thought of modeling and pays great detail to what he does. He is shy about posting on the web, but talk to him on the phone or in person and he is a wealth of information.

Here we are (Mike Dory (L) Dave Manley (R) and me behind the camera) at Dave's pool at his home in San Diego playing with our SWM USS Bluebacks!

                    Dave Manley is a super

Dave Manley is a super guy, and yea quite on the screen, perhasp he fears censorship, most of the creative type like to express themselves without restraint! He knows what the heck he is doing, nice work, and a fare price! And I never miss a chance to *%$% %@#! with him.

His boats are ARR ( Allmost Ready to Run ), his WTCs work very well!

I have his BlueBack, she is a sweet runing little boat!

This KILO is heading to Don Meadows, as movie prop that Steve Neill is doing for OF ICE AND STEEL, next I do the AKULA, and it Look's like our own Jeffrey LaRue is now doing the TYPE 9 505, so all that is left will be a MIAMI, and I think David Merriman, get's that one, well my plan anyway???

So quite the line up for models, and a GREAT BOOK!

On the workbench is a piece of foam and hardboard covered in drywall mud that resembles a 1:25 scale Type VIIc/41 "Atlantic" U-Boat.

I FINALLY got started on this beast. ("life" got in the way).

                        I am just getting started

I am just getting started on my Gato 1/72 boat that arrived a few weeks ago.I decided to let it sit for a while until I get my head together and decide what boat I want to built and how it will be equipped.I spoke to Big Dave and I am pretty sure that I will be using his WTC to make this a R/C model.I did start on the conning tower the other day and all is well so far. Now al that I have to do is start gathering parts.
