Those destroyers are a pain. I usually sit low. Full stop. Periscope up and hunt.

If I can (although not really the right way to do things) I take out the destroyers first. But if you miss you'll use up all the torpedoes trying to get hem off your back. Then your score is low as the big prize is the cargo and troop carriers.

I was in a game with 8 guys the other night. Using the Gods eye camera there were more torpedoes crossing every which way than a pack of hornets.

These guys were out of control. We lost tow subs to friendly fire. Three others were sunk by the destroyers. Still a lot of fun and an amazing game for sure.

I'll post all the details soon for teamspeak. Other than that. Go multi player. Register and then you'll see the servers running games. If you don't see one hit refresh. Select the game (U812's Revenge) and the rest is easy.

Well we have me, Jeff, and Mark. Room for 5 more. anyone else? Or are you chicken! LOL!

are you playing in manual tdc or normal... im still learning tdc and in no hurry to do so lol.... so i can play in normal mode but dont mind the escorts being aggresively hi AI..
i also host in the evenings sometimes with the server named "wheres the patch" with the password "wingtip" and use teamspeak as well "teamspeak.tvrservers.com" and go to the gamers lounge once in to see if im in...

Yes select UBsoft to play. Refresh the list and by 9 pm you should see U812's Revenge. Click on that and the game will connect.

Be sure you have the ready button. If you haven't installed the 1.1 patch then when you click on the game to join hit Alt & Tab twice rapidly. It may not work the first time try it again and you will get the ready button.

Best thing to do is get the patch, install it and it should fix the problem. I installed it today but haven't tried it yet.

well if your gonna do missions instead of a generated map then you need to go to subsim.com and get the two extra missions they have since the game doesnt have much to choose from mission wise that is... but there are 2 missions there to download ...
mine is up almost every night, server (wheres the patch)

the alt tab thing is a hoax.. it was only required the first time u launched multiplayer so you could go to windows and click to allow sh3 to have firewall access...after that its just hit or miss on the ready button , just have to keep trying different servers... i just host and let others connect to me, I get more game time that way than me trying to find a server that i can ready up.....

hey Steve , just got off but got the idea of how it works, using the num lock to send messages during game play and the alt tab tab, .... kind of high teck for me, but think I can find you tomorrow night. Any mission would work for me.... will try to learn more later tonight. My user name is Subron6er. thanks for helping me out. This game is very addicting...... The only copy I can

The only copy I can find of this game is on DVD-ROM. I don't have a DVD player in my computer, so can anyone tell me where to find it on CD-ROM?

I know they have one out there because on their web site it has the patch I believe for the CD version. However if your PC doesn't have a DVD drive it would seem you have an older machine and your game play will be less the full measure of the games capabilities.

This game is a real graphics hog. You need to at lease have a 256 card, 1 gig of ram, and a P4 3.4 chip to be happy. Other wise you have to set everything in settings very low in quality so it will run smooth.

as stated in the other thread, whoever from the subcommittee that is hosting the game with the server named "subcommittee" needs to really update their version as nobody that is current (including me) can join as we are all 2 patches more up to date than you....

Im still hosting mine and have seen jeff jones (sc member) a few times as "subron6er" and mine is "wingtip59"
