    I spoke to Mr Bertolla

I spoke to Mr Bertolla this morning - seems a decent sort of bloke and more than willing to chat ........... I would caution, however, - his Type VII is, quit literally, an Accurate Armour Type VII Static Model with a bottom grafted on ........... and and might therefore be more suited for display than for sailing ........... the deck is as purchased from A A and requires a zillion holes to be drilled or routed.

Undoubtedly the finished result will be up to the amazing detail that AA are capable of ....... but it could take a lifetime to achieve.

        I got a nice message

        John,
I got a nice message from Mr. Bertolla today, nice boat, price is right $1400.00+ FOR EVERYTHING EXCEPT the radio US dollars.Do you have one or know any body who has one.I would like to talk to someone who has one.Do you think that a P/E deck could be added. The WTC or module as he referes to it looks pretty complete as much is shown anyway.Gives me somthing else to stir up my pea brain with
        Keep your powder dry,

          I did specifically ask him

I did specifically ask him about the deck - he didnt know of anyone who had fitted a PE which once again would deter me from buying the kit ........ Ive built the AA conning tower and 88 deck gun for my Robbe U47 and the detail is unbelieveable, however it IS VERY HEAVY! and takes an age to trim down to an acceptable weight. I imagine that a full deck and CT made from resin would weigh well into the Kilos.

Apart from that and my last post I know nothing else about the kit - the people in AA are very very helpful - perhaps a call to them might be worth while.

They are on 00441475 743955 and their web site is http://www.accurate-armour.com - Select Products then Naval/ Ship Models

            Thankyou for the great info,has

Thankyou for the great info, has helped to clear the air about the kit ,so to speak.I have dealt with AA in the past with Armor related projects and I agree, they have very good products and are good to deal with. I can tell you that all of you gentlemen have helped me more than you know,as far as me deciding which kit to go with. Now all that I have to do is get the book keeper to ok the project ,I don`t suppose that anybody is willing to share some secrets in that respect.
            Keep the FAITH and Thanks,
            T.D.
