I thought about the question after watching an RC airplane do tricks in the sky, is this possible with subs too? I mean, with the water pressure, resistense on the planes, and all. If you could build one, should it be light? Heavy? And would you need any ballast tanks?
Acrobatic Subs - possible?

Norbert Bruugen's Delta sub is
Norbert Bruugen's Delta sub is pretty darn close. I think Antoine had some video of some crazy stuff that he was doing with his (please correct me if I'm wrong).
If you're talking hydrobatics, I'd go with a dynamic diver, as the high speeds will basically eliminate the need for a ballast system.
Build it light, smooth, and fast, with big control planes. The Nautilus Drydocks - Exceptional Products for the World of R/C Submarines - www.nautilusdrydocks.com

Now that you've mentionned about
Now that you've mentionned about it, I could try to build one in the future (I hope!). I appears to me that it is the Delphin, little German midget suicide sub! You think shape should be something to consider as well?

To answer the question of are subs capable of anything an aircraft is, well yes within reason, although you may have difficulty performing a hammerhead!
Go here for a good video of some aquabatic subs in action-

Thanks guys for the posts!
Thanks guys for the posts! Ronald, do you think if I ran the a Trumpeter Kilo fast and then elevating the dive planes will make that effect too?

Actually, I was thinking about
Actually, I was thinking about that just a few days ago, how does the Flying Sub "fly" actually? I mean, I've never seen the series but can you make a hovercraft type sub out of it? If possible?

No way you could make that design practical, and forget all about making it hover- much too heavy.
