2004 Builder's Survey - "On the Ways" - What's on Everyone's Workbench?
Shark Nautilus 80% done, I am working on a 1/80 Alfa Hull, I can't believe how fast the project is going! For these reasons, I might have to suspend the Nautilus Project until the Alfa hull is finished.
Working on a Kilo (trumpeter plastic kit). Thinking about driving and diving it with a single pump for ballast and propulsion. Also scheming how to do it with a two channel radio left over from a RC car.
I wonder how raalst progressed with the same model trying to convert it from static to RC operation.
I understand http://www.subcommittee.com/forum/icon_wink.gif What happened
I understand What happened to you Alfa Scott? Did it sink? I wanted to order a Trumpeter Kilo at first too, but the alfa got me interested right away. visit Trumpeter's Website: Trumpeter ( If you haven't visited yet, go on the English menu )

I'm assuming you meant me...
I never lost the boat...I broke off the lower rudder, then ended up rebuilding it, and stripping all the paint off it. I went through a sub "purge", and ended up selling it. I hope it's still sailing with someone, somewhere.
I am working on getting Thierry Cervetti's Typhoon ready for the 2004 season. Also working on getting a Thor Alfa (early model) ready for sea trials. My Engel Typhoon has spent the winter on the bottom of Heratige Park, Taylor Michigan. Hope to recover it this spring.

[color=#000000]Hi Again Boy !! 2003 was a busy year for me and recovering from injuries sustained in accident. Word of advice.... Hold the railing when descending a flight of stairs... Well starting to get things done and after 6 years of running my trusty USS Scamp SSN 588 it was time to go into drydock for an overhaul. Scamp is going to get a new coat of paint ( and repair the dings it had when I drove it into the bottom of the cement fly casting ponds in San Francisco Military Regatta 2003) Also being overhauled is my WTC 3.0 which has worked flawlessly for 6 years,( good manufacturing from Dave Merriman) being my main WTC for my USS Scamp, USS Pogy, USS Tucson, over the years. Now it will work in my rebuilt USS Scamp, and my upcoming USS Plunger. The hull and the slots and holes for the appendages and the intakes and vents have been cut and squared. So all I need to do now is install the parts and make some jumpers and get it ready for paint. Also finished up a long project I have been working on ( but not a submarine) is a 1900's Steam Tugboat 1]
