12v....Yeah that is cheating... Fine you win because I'm not buying anymore batteries or retrimming.

    What time is olivegarden?

Want to make it fair then and go against my 12v tug.. I think they have the same prop size.

Actually the motor depends on what it needs for voltage.
Mine is 8.4-12v and I was running on only 6v.
I am sure you have 7.2 or 8.4 now.
The 6v battery I had was to heavy and it is
        in the bow.
I was able to get a smaller gell cell from
my cousin but it is 12v.
        Now my trim is correct.
I will pull off on any tug that wants to
        connect to my tow point.

Well you may want to check your seals before you go against the big one. I have been trying to find a good motor set up in it and the current one is..a bit scary.

Talk all you want about voltages..your cheating!

                  Ha!!
Cheating says the guy that installed
a huge motor and gear box plus a prop 3 times to big for the tug.
                  My Toot is stock!

I guess I could install a 7.4v pack if that would
give you a feeling of security.BD.

I thought you had said you had a 3/1 box.
                      You are running direct drive?
                      What size motor? BD.

                        6v pittman
I guess I could put a 12v pittman in there but I think I need to work on something else

                          That is right.
You did say something about a Pittman.
                          Good choice!!
                          The only difference between a 6 and 12 V Pittman is 6V.
In other words one is made to run on 6 and one on 12.
I don't think one has more power but I have been wrong before.
                          ONCE!!
The Pittman and the Venom-55 and a good match. I will set mine up for a 7.4V pack.
It will take even more weight out of the front which is a good thing.
Now for the 100.000 dollar question.
Who is bringing the tow rope!! BD.

Already made some. They arent huge but we arent talking about that much force. In the event of a failure I will just run home and get a bigger rope.

As for pittmans. I would think that a 12v would have more power because of the high potential . Maybe not more speed but more torque? Just my theory..I guess I could sit down and do math to firgure it out but nuke school was a long time ago

Ok I couldnt help myself. I did some arrow analysis of it.

Perhaps a bit simplified since there are more variables like resistance from different windings and amp draws
