    When I have a price

When I have a price for the facilities, and have the funding okayed by the brass I'll put up a poster, plus I'll release details to model magazines, local clubs etc.

Nick, if I can make a boat submerge and come back up, getting a wheelchair down a few steps shouldn't be a worry!

Yes I suppose you have a good point, but I just cant help unleashing the graphic designer in me. That's what I studied at this University campus.

        Right that's you signed up

Right that's you signed up for a job then, Paul.

How come everyone I've ever known who has trained to be a graphic designer ends up in a completely different job!

Andy, what jobs are left? I'd be happy to do something.

            Nowt at the moment. When

Nowt at the moment. When I have some firm confirmation of dates etc. Then hopefully folk can spread the word in their local model clubs and/or other interested parties.

As I see it the main requirements are, public liability, ensuring everyone gets a fair time slot for sailing their models, and making sure we don't get too many clashes of frequencies.

So, we need a frequency board and some wooden clothes pegs!

                    Paul

I'm still waiting for a hire quotation from the manager of the facilities.

She contacted me on the 15th August to say hire was possible, and asked what the level of attendance would be. Since then I've heard nowt, despite a couple of emails to chase up.

So, I think she must be busy with other things at present.

When I have something to report, you'll all be the first to know.

                    Until then sit tight.

                        No idea!

Tis why I'm asking for those that may or may not be interested.

I'd say we could probably see 30-40 folk if we include the AMS aswell as Sub Committee members, plus those who aren't an affiliate of any organisation (future members perhaps?).

More the merrier I say, of course there's a limit on how many boats can fit on (under) the water at any given moment, but with a full days hire, I'm sure everyone would get a decent amount of sailing time.

                          Yeah!!!

C'mon everyone, theres Andy doing all the donkey work - and only three or four different people replying!
I'm even going to bring my other half and her revell hmcs snowberry conversion, so we all have something to aim at/avoid!

The more people that come, the less it should cost per individual - logical, no?

                          Paul.

A big show of hands please!!!

                            Paul,

                            I don't expect a big

                            Paul,

I don't expect a big online response, to be honest.

Most UK members of the Sub Committee aren't online, neither are many AMS members.

Once I start putting notes in the Sub Committee report and 'In Depth', plus a couple of model magazines, we should start to see some more interest.

But I can't do anything more until I get a price!

I've emailed Emma again, so we'll see what happens.

Plenty of time yet- got until May don't forget.

As for that Corvette- we'll soon turn that into a submarine.

Okay, I just get slightly annoyed by apathy, sometimes.
So, just sit tight for now then.
Oh, and the gf is a bit of a whizz at the helm of her snowberry - you will have your work cut out sending that to the bottom!
