    Andy,

That is what I am saying, and I agree with you. I do not think it would be the end of the organization, but we would have much less to offer, for sure.

I believe that the members of the EC & I have stated the primary need of the SC repeatedly.....That is; we need content for the SCR. Right now that is the #1 immediate need and our #1 immediate focus. Without that, everything else is pretty much a mute point.

We have been banging that gong loudly for more than 3 years now on the forum, in the SCR, and at the fun runs. I do not know how we can be any more clear than that. If you have additional ideas for soliciting contributions, we are all ears. A few have stepped up, and it is almost always the same folks that do step up (Many thanks to those who have stepped up.)

The strategy has been laid out in my previous post in the Presidents column. A great deal of thought and effort went into the process of incentives, membership dues reductions, and Ad fee reductions. All of that was done with the intent of increasing our circulation and spreading our message further. Will it work? I do not know. I guess we will see.

Finding content for the SCR has been an ongoing issue for as long as I can remember. It's an effort to wring an article out of the local chapters for the Fox schedule, and that only needs a couple of hundred words at the most. Almost everyone hands their submission on the day of deadline, like naughty kids not doing their homework.

Getting copy for club mags is a common issue in clubs. The editor almost invariably ends up with the unenviable task of also being chief content provider. A lot of modellers aren't always the greatest when it comes to putting pen to paper, that's where it becomes important to know who is in your locale, and what skills they possess.

I've gone through all 45 pages of members, and listed all the names in bold, which indicates current membership (BTW, Matt, your name doesn't show up in bold, might be something to do with you being listed as President, as opposed to subcommittee member?).

      I get 181 entries.

        Andy,

Thanks. Yes, there is a problem there as there are many members that are not showing up. We need to look into that.

        Good find!
        Regards,

        Matt

Do you know of any sub related magazines published in other languages? The SCR might swap articles with and translate them to English to get
          good articles for the SCR.

Sonar ev do a very good magazine printed (mostly) in German. Of course it depends upon the cooperation of the societies.

              Here I go again.

All the forums fish in the same pond. People (me included) post the same stuff on different forums.

Maybe there is a change to get together with other forums, work out a plan to work together and share a magazine?
Maybe not all forums will step in, but maybe some do.

If not a magazine maybe start a shared/joint website, were articles are published, you can take them from the individual forums (with permission of the authors).
No language restrictions just post as is….…google translate will do the rest.

One more thing that I thing is underestimated; if English is not your native language it is not so evident to submit something to contribute.

              Grtz,
              Bart
