    A couple of things......

    Gents,

I admit I'm a bit of a Luddite in the 'puter world, but...

    (a) Where's the contact us, or the webmaster button???

    (b) Why is there a "Remember me?" button when it won't do anything if you do click it and come back later to log in again? (i.e. What's it remembering??)

    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi Bill,

The "Contact Us" button can be found down at the lower right of the web page in that dark blue stripe.

Can you help me out with the "Remember me" button? I'm not seeing it...... (we're still learning this new software too!)

      Jeff,
It lives directly underneath the name and password boxes on the log-in page. Thanks!!!

        Bill,

Oh...d'oh! I was not looking at the home page before logging in.

If you select that little white box next to "Remember me?", it should mean that the next time you come back to the forum you won't need to log in.

That said, is this not the behavior you are seeing? I'm assuming that other sites remember you when you return?

You are correct, Jeff. It doesn't remember me like the old site did. Makes me log in each time. The old site would drop me out after about a day. Good thing I remember me!!!

Consider deleting the subcommittee cookie on your computer.
The the next time you log in, you mark the remember me box on the forum and when the popup comes up on your screen that ask to save this password, click yes.

                What browser are you using?

Usually you will find cookie settings under
                tools
                options
                Privacy

You should be able to open a cookie list and find the subcommittee cookie.
delete it and the saved password stuff will be gone and when you log in again, it will save your current entry if you tell it to.

Thanks, guys! Still have no clue, so I'll just do what I have to. I'm on an old HP, uses IE, and Vista Home Premium. For most stuff it works ok.
                    Take care,
                    B^)

Okay let's see if I can help.
                      The operating system is Vista.
                      The browser is IE.
                      What version of IE?
                      ------------------
It's been a long time since I ran IE so I may not get this correct.

                      This is what I remember....??

You can configure your privacy settings in Internet Explorer clicking
Internet Options on the Tools menu, and then clicking the
                      Privacy tab
Cookies or Passwords this should open a cookies list you can select given cookies and edit or delete.
                      ----
Another thing you can do, is allow first person cookies and block third person cookies.
                      Explanation
first person cookies come from the web page you are on and send information back to the sender.

third person cookies come from the web page your on but send information to a third person not necessarily the web page owner. (data mining companies usually or advertisers)
