Web site or more specifically forum is back up

I must apologize for the lengthy time it took to get back up. I can list all the hurdles, but suffice it to say we are back up. The biggest question I want to answer is why. Why did we go down?
It has nothing to do with Jeff passing or anything he would do behind the scenes. It turned out our SQL database was way over capacity. It was a time bomb waiting to happen. The timing was unfortunate, but we upgraded to a server that can handle our volume.

Please let me know if there is anything you see out of wack or needs attention. I will continue to test it out and will monitor our system.

Thank you for your patience and again I am deeply sorry it took this long to fix.

    Peace,
    Tom

    We’re back!
Thanks to the efforts of several people working behind the scenes (Tom, Paul, Jim, Jeff...) the forums are back up and running!
We outgrew our hosted server, had to migrate to a larger one, had issue with the operating system, the interface to manage it, the formatting of the pages, database installation and conversion, etc. etc. etc.

Not for the faint hearted, to be sure.

But we’re back in business! Looking forward to seeing what’s been going on with everyone while we were away.

    Post away!

      Sam,
It was a team effort for sure and it was wonderful the way we all pulled together and made this happen. Look forward to continuing this great momentum.
      Peace,
      Tom

I see the SubCommittee has returned from the deep.
Sounds like everyone involved has survived.
          Good job.

Was sorry to hear about Jeff.
I was messaging with him just 1 or 2 days before.
When I had question about the SubCommittee, was always there to help.
          I will miss him.
          Ralph

Excellent work guys. Maybe it had something to do with CD19 virus?

Thanks for all the hard work guys. I found it even harder staying at home without having the website to scour in my effort to learn.
I think I found an issue with was when I tried to click on the link to the Past Issues and article list (which is an awesome idea) the page is down.
Not complaining but you ask to make you aware of anything we find.
Thanks again for all you do for our hobby.

Have to say, when I logout I get " 502 Bad Gateway" message each time. It seems I can`t log out because each time I go to the site I`m still there logged in.
Sorry about bringing this up, extra work.
