  • Bored of cutting holes in your U-Boat?

    I know I was....

That's why MMB has come up with a solution

This complete set contains all the deck panels to fit a Darnell / Models by Design Type 7, In 1.5mm thick waterjet cut acrylic. Imagine the time you can save not having to drill and file out all those pesky deck slots, when all you can do is cut a large square hole, lightly sand the 'fluffed' edges from the cutting, and glue these over the top of the hole. They really do have to be seen to be believed...

The cost for the set is just £25 plus p&p, Available from www.marksmodelbits.com

You need to do this for the OTW Type VII in 1/32. I still have nightmares about flood holes....

.....for deck slots? In that case, not needed for the OTW Type VII kit as it come with a fully detailed photo-etched main and conning tower deck set.

While this may be useful for the not-so-scale Darnell model, these tools are NOT required for the OTW as Jeff points out. The OTW kit come with a beautifully executed PE deck with all of the penetrations accurately placed and cut out for you....

...I was responding the Bob's suggestion that you offer the same kit of parts for the OTW Type VII. Just trying to save you some trouble.

I was talking about the flood holes, not the deck grating. Some sheets of photoetched or laser cut flood holes would be great, especially the hydrophone areas...

Is there any chance in getting the lower rear hull drain slots for a Robbe 1/40 scale Type VII.

I went to the dentist the other day and he used an air abrasion tool to drill on my
cavity. He said you don't have to numb the tooth because it does not produce heat.
Maybe it could be used to cut out flood holes? Might be expensive. Maybe the dentist
                    would rent it to you!
