      Two things that help a

      Two things that help a lot:

      1. With a hot soldering iron, scribe your own "grip ridges".

      2. Get some powdered graphite (used on locks). One puff and they plugs are lubed for life.

      Always use Deans, don't trust knock-offs.

        We have had trouble with

        We have had trouble with the Chinese copies not making good contact. They look like Deans, but just are not the same. Buyer be aware!!!

          I've been switching alot of

          I've been switching alot of deans over to the traxxas plugs lately. There's no risk of melting the plastic housing because you solder the wires to the contacts and then they click into the connector housing. Easy to pull apart too.
