    Hi everyone talking about the

Hi everyone talking about the 1/48 scale Type XXI Kit being produced by Precision Patterns and Rogue Models, this kit was originally produced by Doug Badgley,Then sold I believe to Matt Thor who in turn made some improvements to the kit and then sold it to Paul Crozier at Warfish Models who made more improvements to the kit.

We will be putting together and article for the SC Report on how we built the Type XXI kit.

We will be explaining what we did to build the kit in detail so that those of you that are thinking about building this kit will at least see how we built it.

We will also be including and article on what we will be doing for a WTC for the kit.

At the same time we will be installing a set of resin cast parts for the kit, the first parts will be the flood vents. These parts were originally made by David Tanguy.

The second set of parts will be Resin cast deck grates and hatches, Which were originally created by David Tanguay, which were developed from Jeff LaRue’s brass deck for the Type XXI.

    Thanks Myles

                Kevin,
                I saw Doug at Carmel

                Kevin,
I saw Doug at Carmel in '05 with the XXI and loved it. Does it still retain the rack style of steering? Also, is the wtc going to be based on RCAB type of operation?
Just picking your brain, what is left of it!!!! Just kidding. Hope your dad got the boat working after getting home from Carmel. Had a fun time there and glad to have met you and your father.

                  Frank,

We are using the timing belt drive system for the rudder. It is clean, reliable, and very easy to install.

The WTC is not an RCABS system.

                    Hey frank

                    Like that guy said.

Hey frank didn't know that was you. I swear the name tags should have our post names on them.
No luck on the type 7 needs a much larger ballast tank. It'll be going again soon enough.
