The Scale Ships AKULA II Completed - A very fine model to build and run.

Hello to all fellow captains,I have just almost completed this model and have found it to be the finest, funest and best for $350.00 kit of the Rusian Akula II I have ever seen even in muesems.
I still have to install the ECM and comunication mast arrays that are in themselves a work of art and to scale.
The dry transfer sheet provided is easy to use and once applied can be sealed with a low gloss clear coat to protect it from the elements, highly recomended.
The make SEM has a low gloss elastomeric spray that works realy well.
The prop that is on now is the RC one not the display one.
The bow planes are very thin to scale so be carefull when drilling the shaft for movement.
This sub uses the pump system with a rigid ballast tank ,and runs for about 2.5 hours and is extreamly fast! No I dont use any special motors or speedcontrols just a sealed water cooled heat transfer coils useing anti freez as coolant to keep motor and speedcontrol cool ,that way the baterry also lasts much longer and the can 12 volt motor geared 3.5 to 1 and man youve got a torpedo if you like ,but for scale ops a leasure cruise is proper when needed.See image of powerplant and geared coolant pump and the new type of pressure hull I have developed.I already busted the rudder on a rock but shes alright now.
Well enjoy the pics and build one of these beuties![img] <img src=[/img]http://i82.photobucket.com/albums.....G]http://i82.photobucket.com/albums....MG]

Nice work Guy's, I have a ScaleShips AKULA II and it is the BEST boat I own!!

By the way, Vladimir Emailed me today with some really good news, He now accepts PayPal to buy his boats.

If any body out their is interested in a AKULA II model, ScaleShips AKULA II is the only one to look at in My Opinion, she is a Hull kit only, but is the most accurate on the planet, just all hand made scopes will blow you away, the photo etch parts are just surperb, and the dry transfer you can see on DeepDivers Boat!!

Gents,

My Akula II came today and meets and/or exceeds all of my expectations. To quote Brian it is the finest kit I own. Was able to pay with Paypal and from order date of December 20, 2006 to my front door on January 3, 2007.
