    Another new Engel Kit

It appears that Engel KG has retooled the Typhoon kit. I don't read German, and there are few pictures, however, they are calling it a 'Master Scale Series'. The Type VII info is now in English.

the babelfish.altavista.com interpretation of the text basically says the kit has "completely revised detailed hull and tower, and the new high detail tower is cast out of resin." it is an update to

            TD,
I believe all that was retooled was the outer hull. Internally, it would be the same as the 1st design kit, that is, the WTC is built permanently inside the lower hull half. Engel's Lafayette kit splits similar to Robbe's U-47, however, uses a bayonet locking ring rather that that long a++ screw to hold it together. I have about 26 hours on my Lafayette now, and not a hint of a leak. If you need more info on this, let me know and I will email you some pictures.

Does anyone know how to contact Engel directly. Their web-site doesn't list any direct contact at all.

They are listing parts I need as "not available" and I need to know what exactly that means.

You probably already found this out, but it means that he is temporarily out of stock with that item. Give him some time, and he will replenish stock and you'll be able to order it.
