Hull kits for Dave Welch's WTC's possible - If there's enough interest

I was thinking the other day about making some hull kits in epoxy glass for the 3 different WTC's that Dave Welch has made.

The Kilo WTC is the smallest one and single screw. The Seawolf is a bit larger also for single screw and the type 7 WTC two screws.

So far it has been suggested by a friend that I do a Gato fleet boat for the type 7 WTC and or a type 21. A bit harder to pull off with those screws set in the appendages.

If you guys have an interest please let me know. and feel free to suggest a boat too as long as you know the parameters of Dave's WTC's.

I second your opinion about

I second your opinion about the Typhoon. That would be good because the only vendor I know of that offers a Typhoon hull kit is Engel, and that costs over $1000 dollars. I would also suggest using the Kilo WTC in a Skipjack or Permit class sub.

you sure have a point there. There is a guy in OZ that makes two sizes of Typhoon. I believe Bob Martin has one of the larger ones.

Still the smaller Typhoon is still large. Bob if I'm wrong about the location of the kit please set me straight. I know yours isn't an Engle.

Typhoon should be a big seller, seems to be the boat of choice, or I should say on the "wish-list" for most people, especially starting off.

If you are doing a Typhoon, please ask for any information you need to build an accurate hull. I will be glad to share some of my "good stuff" if you are going to do it.
It disappoints me to see one built inaccuratelly.
This will hold true of anyone about to produce a Russian boat hull.

Indeed, my model is an old 32P hull. The back was simply a big, flat plane. I chopped the whole thing off and redid it from scratch. It's not too bad, otherwise. Overall length and width is pretty close.

If it looks like a Typhoon, who can complain... or at least, who'd complain with me standing there...? HA!

Here's the scale. It's 3 ft. which makes it 1/200 I believe. Or there abouts. Plenty big for torpedoes and a few missiles to work. Lots of room for the WTC that I put in the plans. It's to scale of Dave Welch's type 7 WTC.
