I see corrections over the Engle kit I like very much.
It also is the most accurate one I have seen so far. But there are a few minor things. Very minor.
I wish it were a epoxy hull in 1/96 scale. I would buy one.
If they'd sell the hull only, I'd be interested for sure. I've sent an email to see if that's a possiblility. I'll share what, if anything, I get back from them.

They sound good to work with. Here's the response that I got back, quick as a wink]Hello,
We thank you for the interest which you carry(wear) in our kit Typhoon.
The kit is absolutely complete (pump, engines, visserie stainless, ball
bearings, joins to lips, details(rooms) in photo cut, self-adhesive
decoration etc.)
The kit is delivered as it appears on photos except for helixes brass which
are in accessory
The kit is in PVC and all the details(rooms) are cut in the digitally
operated machine.
The price is 595.00 euros TTC
The price of the complete kit but without the hull(shell) pressure and its
mechanical elements is for the 387.00 euros TTC price.
We still have no cost of cheap transport.
Cordially

$387 Euros is around $477 USD, or $580 CAD. That price does not include shipping, but if you allocate another $200 or so, you'd be pretty safe, I'd think.
That's not that bad a price, really, especially considering the size of the kit. A bit of work rescribing the fuzzy details and reinforcing the hull, and this could be a bang-up model!

I would like to pass to their factory to see their model ( approx 150km of my town), i think they are very serious.
Concerning falls details on the hull, they said in the manual that it is a "semi-maquette" ( sport scale in US?), so detailling the model is in charge of the builder. To my mind, it is a good thing, so every modeller will have a different finish model depending of his work .
