Atomic Subs and ThorDesign would like to announce 2 new items available after January 1, 2005.
The newest, most advanced pitch controller, the PC-4A has just finished 4 months of very intensive testing and is now in production. The PC-4A includes all of the solid state features found on our PC-2A, but now includes a dual axis sensor, which allows the user to literally install the device in almost any orientation and select which axis you wish to stabilize. The PC-4A also, includes the LED level indicators that ThorDesign pioneered on the PC-2. A sensitivity adjustment pot and a centering pot are both standard features of the PC-4A. The PC-4A also includes the progressive programming feature pioneered on the PC-2, which "learns" the characteristics of the boat as it is moving and predicts the next pitch cycle, which smooths the reponse of the device even more. The buffer is immediately refreshed if the predicted deflection does not match the sampled data and corrects immediately.
The second device is our new SC-20, 20 amp speed control with BEC. While still very compact we stuffed an amazing 400 steps of resolution in both forward and reverse for a total of 800 steps of resolution. This gives you amazingly precise control that was unheard of in the past. Low speed and high speed control are unsurpassed. Due to the SC-20s FET refresh rate of 10 kHZ, there is NO ANNOYING WHINE. We have run this board hard at over 20 amps and it does not even get warm.
