    Tethered Underwater Drone

This popped up on a friend of mine's Facebook page today. He's a bit of an amateur biologist who likes to study fish and other aquatics. Not actively promoting it. Just passing it along as a curiosity.

    Hi,

of course and immediately to see: This is not a kind of our usual more or less scale RC models; this device is more an underwater video/photo platform; one may even call it an underwater rover to capture recordings that are not accessible for the user.

Its technical specifications, however (depth-lock, etc.) are quite interesting, despite the price of well above US$ 1000 ( I have only seen the European tag).

100 m depth (over 300 ft) is quite challenging, indeed; but why not ?

I guess I will invest in this model for cruising through the mountain-high crystal clean but deep lakes in my Bavarian neighborhood.

    Cheers
