    Found this, very sad

I saw this posted on another site from the now running Nuremberg Toy Fair.
It is the new Trumpter 1/48 Type 7 kit.
Looks like it will be a cutaway model. Which is great for the static display guys.
But not so much the RC guys.
This may or may not be a fact but just wanted to post this.
Now I will retire to my corner and sulk. BDClick image for larger version

    Bummer......
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I can't see it being exceptionally hard to cut out the internal bulkheads to accept a cylinder. The bad thing is the associated costs with all of the unneeded internal details. Looking forward to this one!

I do not think removing the internals is the issue, is there a side of the sub not included? That would be the bummer.

even if you buy this as the "visible" static display model... the internals on this, while better than the 1/125 revell type VII, are still very inaccurate.
