There will be a model boat show and competition in Kitchener Ontario on June 27-29, 2003 sponsored by the Great Lakes Model Boat Association and hosted by the Golden Triangle Marine Modelers at the Kitchener City Hall. A similar event to this was held in Toronto in 2000 at which over 100 models were entered. Kitchener is 1.25 hours west of Toronto. It will be both a judged and display event (exhibitors choice) with categories in NAVAL, PLEASURE BOAT, WORKING VESSEL, SHIPS-IN-A-BOTTLE and MINIATURES categories in classes of KIT, SEMI-KIT and SCRATCHBUILT. there will be narrated scale running displays on Saturday and Sunday as well as BEST IN SHOW and a model engineering display of miniature steam and gasoline engines. There will be a barbecue Saturday night for all participants at a nominal cost.
