It was a bummer not to meet Steve. I am sorry for the passing of a friend.
The time there was great and I look forward to the next gathering.
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

Had a great time out at the lake. Should we plan a new one a couple months out?

Sure we should but what I'll need to do is plan ahead. Come down the night before and stay at a Marriott.

Going to Hansen Dam next week to run the R-10 for Bob.

            Darrin,
a foot longer you'll need a steering wheel on top of that a sail to control it.
Some may remember the photo posted of the propeller for this beast in Darrin's hand. The photo above shows it really is BIG!
I will want to be there! Not necessarily when he launches it but when he tries to recover it from the water. Hydraulic hoist anyone?

Maybe spring loaded doors in the bottom to dump the water as it is lifted up.

I build them big while I still can. Besides, they run much better at this size. Next project is tiny. Stay tuned.....

                Tiny project... I know ! I know !
                -----------------
You're going to make R/C torpedoes for the big thing.
Make each one of them controllable like old wire guided.

                That's it.

Ralph my type 7 is 7 ft! And the Nautilus 66 inches. Both way a ton when removing from the water. All we need is Daren! LOL!

Any news on the event in San Francisco? Normally around mid October.
