2013 Ready for Carmel

Feel free to post here what is running ready to go for Carmel this year, and what you are bringing.

I started working on everything trying to get things ready to run for the Subregatta.

Revell Type VII U-boat with Merriman's WTC and fittings all trimmed out and ready for mission Carmel. Of course I know I'll have to add weight once I get there, as usual.





Now on to Texas, Virginia class attack sub.
Ohio needs a lot of work, so saving for last if there's time. Keep you posted.

Lets see what others have to bring and run.

I'll be there with a Delfin, a lionfish surface boat and either a skipjack or an albacore depending on how sea trials fare for the skipjack this weekend

As you know, I am planning on bringing my Boone, this is the 8th SubRegatta for the Boone. I am also bringing my Hawaii. I bought the hull at last years regatta and have installed an Engel tech rack in it. Just finishing paint and making some boxes to carry it. Here is a pic during initial sea trial before paint.

My boat is only 1/35 scale.
But cool none the less.
Mine is a dynamic diver.
I molded the hull too thick so it was to heavy for a ballast system given the limited interior volume.
I well be getting it ready for re ballasting this week and will try to get some video in the pool.

That's pretty cool.

I got my USS Texas running. Now trying to solve a WTC leak in my Ohio and then all my boats will be there.

I've completely redone my O ring seals on the end caps. I'm sure they are good. Has anybody ever experienced SubTech control rod seals or shaft seal go bad and start leaking? They've been on there 4 years.

BD has helped me alot and my skipjack will be there with his new cylinder. My wife (who BD calls Mrs GoodCookie) has made more than 7 dozen of these cookies for everyone to enjoy at Carmel.
anyone in attendance will be responsoble for their own milk or beverage of choice. ps the poor frosting job is my fault not hers.

I would love to see your Hawaii. I scratchbuilt one which wasn't quite ready last year for the regatta. This was my first sub. I have tweaked it some, but it still need some work. It doesn't run how I would like. I was planning to come this year but have to attend several funerals in Indy this weekend related to the Colonial Hills bus accident last weekend. I am still hoping to stop by Sat. afternoon.
