    iHobby Expo

I went to the iHobby Expo today in Cleveland. There was not much submarine related stuff.

Pegasus Models had this little NAUTILUS model on display; about 20" long. I asked if they were considering a larger version, suitable for rc; answer was "no".

That last little model looks very interesting. Clearly influenced by the Walther Stint concept, it should be a really nice fun little boat to build and operate.

Question is, have Ark Model sorted out there supply and demand and quality control issues yet?

      Hi Bob,
      I see a piston tank.
      Are they making them now?
How was the show in general? BD.

Well to be be fair the concept of the piston tank dates back to the 16th century (c.1578 William Bourne), and can be found in model form in Wilhelm Bauer's creations designed to show the concept of a diving submarine, constructed in the 19th century.

            So they're not exactly new.

              Dave,

They are making piston tanks for some of their subs. The person in their booth didn't know if they were available separately. I was at the show on Friday, and attendance was very light. I understand that attendance was light yesterday and today. Compared to the Toledo Weak Signals Show, the iHobby Expo was smaller and had less attendance. I was at the first iHobby Show in Chicago in 1986, when it was the RC Hobby Trade Show, and remember it being as crowded as the Toledo Show.
