2011 Carmel Subregatta

At the 2010 Subregatta seminar, we had a discussion about where to have the 2011 Subregatta. Everyone there (I believe) wants to have it in Carmel, again. Since those that couldn't make it this year weren't in the discussion, could you please give us your opinions so we can get the location picked soon and then a date can be set? Then we can start planning all of the events that are on the topic started by Matt Thor.
If anyone else is thinking about having is somewhere else, please speak up so we can review what you would like to present.

Well, so far no Carmel or no Carmel comments. Let us know what you would like. Around 40 at the event this year voiced that they would like to have it return. Where would you like to have the Subregatta next year? I have checked and there are 2 weekends open here around our normal Subregatta time period.

Chris ,I would like to see the regatta in Carmel next year again . I will be there everytime when its there, if it wasnt a 8 hour drive I would be there all the time.

Carmel is probably the best venue going for the event; close to the middle of the country, multiple choices for lodging, easy parking, what ever you want to eat is a short drive away, and then, there is that nice 'cee-ment' pond.
If your boat quits; it is recoverable.

great venue, great hobby store nearby, excellent hotel (even better when the one across the street opens) and the Admirals are awesome.

I am going to organize the photo contest so we will have that again next year.

This is a great event, in a great place.

This last Regatta was my first trip to Carmel. I would really like to return. It is a beautiful venue nicely located in a quite area. Everything we need is very close by. I think we would have a VERY hard time beating this place.....my vote is for Carmel!

I am an official peon like my good friend Jim Butt.
But if going to every regatta except one like Jim and I have counts for anything I say pick one of the two weekends open and go for it.
Chris, whichever one works best for the Admirals sounds like the best plan of attack.
You guys are simply the best, and the people in Carmel are so friendly. Bigdave.

Carmel is an ideal location for the regatta, great places to eat, and the town of Carmel is really a charming town. Lets keep it at Carmel, IN.

Could not be there this year but all for Carmel next year 2011. Great place, great people.
