As for transporting my models I just strap them to the roof with a remove before flight tag. Great fun when a super trooper pulls you over! Just answer all questions with a funny accent
I got to try out the new rack yesterday .Our local club had our July fun run and I used this one to run all the subs I will be bringing with me to Carmel. Here are a few pictures.

wrap clingwrap around the sub, put it in a cardboard box and
let loose the can of PU foam.
cut to size, cut the sub loose (lengthwise and carefully)
and presto.
add fancy outside if desired.
