Hobby tool maker, Xuron, just came across with one of those nifty little hard wire nippers. I got one of these last year, and find myself using it all the time!
Michael Werneke, CEO of International Ocean Research, makers of a 5 foot RC Alfa kit (see his ad in the March SCR and on this website's vendor page) donated $100 to be awarded at the regatta. Thanks Michael!
As an FYI - Here is a photo of the Alfa kit Michael sells.
I'm working on the GW now and hope to make it in time but if not put a place holder there and I will send the kit to the winner shortly there after but I think I may just make it.
I'll bring CDs of detail pictures of the U.S.S. Nautilus taken at the U.S. Navy Submarine Museum in Groton, CT with me for the raffle table as you suggested.
Just heard from Ray Mason - He is donating two complete library sets of all of his SubRegatta DVDs. We will have one set on the raffle table Saturday and Sunday. That means about 10 years of SubRegattas in each set! Ray sells these sets for $100 each plus $5 shipping.
I just received a big carton from Great Planes in Champaign, Il. They are the distributors of Hobbico products. In the box were four
of the little Sea Scout RC pools subs for the SubRegatta Raffle.
Thanks Great Planes!
Just a reminder - We are still asking everyone who can, to bring an item for the raffle.
Everybody has stuff that they bought for a project that has never seen the light of day
- I know I do!!!
Dave Welch has come through once again. He is donating a brand new $120 WTC kit built to mate up with Steve Neill's Blueback kit shown above. We are going tape them together and they will be awarded as a unit to the lucky winner!
I mailed the Blueback to Chris several days ago. He should have it as BD got his about 5 days ago now.
Looks like the Washington might fall short of the date. But I should have a kit to send by the Regatta. If it's going to be late send me the winners address and out it goes.
Excellent! Thanks again Dave. Steve - I will make up a certificate for your Geo Washington hull kit that we can put on the table with your contact info. The lucky winner can redeem it with you.
