Depending on how many people are in your group, you could share a room with someone and split the $89 cost at the Hilton Garden Inn (group hotel this year). The Fri & Sat evening events happen there and it is less than 2 miles from the pond.

Looks like the cheapie Motel 6 that some guys stayed at least year is out of business. However Chris did find the Red Roof Inn - about $50/night with tax- Their local number is 317-872-3030. http://www.redroof.com/reservations/...innNumber=0041

There is a McDonalds within walking distance and other restaurants around the area. It would take about 15 min to get to the pond from there.

The Subcommittee reservation block is

The Subcommittee reservation block is full, but there are still rooms available at the hotel. Is there any chance the reservation block will be expanded to give a discount to us procrastinators?

I'll ask Chris Campbell to check if we can get a few more rooms.

In the meantime, you might want to check some of the other hotels in Carmel, Indiana on Expedia - there are a bunch in the area. The Red Roof Inn (see previous post) is home to a number of budget minded SC guys too.

Just as an FYI, all the members of Subron-8 will be staying where we did last year, the Super-8 motel in Castleton.

It is a really nice place good rates and we even had a large pond 12' from our door. Is is only about 8 miles from the regatta. I don't know if they have rooms, but I thought I would post anyway. BD.
