    Mr. Veep,

    So sorry to hear

    Mr. Veep,

So sorry to hear it -- what a bummer! Will you be recouped enough to still join us in Georgetown three weeks later?

    Jeff

P.S. You'd better be, Comrade! What would we Yankee Imperialist dogs do without your expert Cold War photographic surveillance techniques?

I will make it to the Subron 5.
Would not miss it for the world. I would have made the national with a window of a few days. Just unfortunate luck!

          Woo Hoo! The SubRegatta is

Woo Hoo! The SubRegatta is only a couple weeks away!

Hope you are getting your subs all ready to go! Be sure to bring every boat in your fleet - working or not. Visitors like to see lots of subs - working, undergoing refit or under construction! They DO NOT HAVE TO BE PERFECT!

IF YOU HAVE NOT REGISTERED YET, PLEASE DO NOW!!!
Just send your name, hometown and subron affiiation (if any) to SubRegatta2006@yahoo.com - that will enable John Schagane to have your name badge ready when you walk up to the registration table on Saturday morning. The badge will be your ID for checking transmitters in and out of the impound. It will also enable other guys you have probably already talked to on the message boards to recognize who you are! Even if you aren't bringing a sub, please register as well.

          FRIDAY MEET AND GREET
Don't forget the 7 PM Friday Night Meet and Greet at the Hilton garden Inn (official hotel). Metal artisan (and SC member) Steve Jensen is sponsoring the goodies on Friday night. Pizza (lots of it), sodas, treats, sub movies and getting reaquainted with old sub friends and meeting new ones!

          SATURDAY SubSeminar
We have a great slate of speakers this year for the Satuday Night SubSeminar in the Hilton Garden Inn (our official hotel). Dr. Art Broder talks about his RCABS ballast systems, Pete Piekarki (Pirate on this board) will talk about scratch building sub hulls, Jeff laRue will tell us how he does his stainless steel sub decks, and Dave Merriman is discussing painting and weathering. Dont miss this event!!!

          PHOTO CONTEST -
Along with our usual competitions (navigation, engineering, etc.) we are having the photo contest again this year. Color or B&W, any size - 4 x 6 or larger. No frames, but matting is ok if you wish. Anything submarine related, model or prototype is in the running.

          THE GREAT SUB RACE -
Along with all our regular competitions, the Great Sub Race is a go - for sure - this year, honchoed by Dave Welch. There will be three size classes - so there are three chances to win.

          OTHER COMPETITIONS
          R/C Engineering & Craftsmanship - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
          R/C Navigation]president@subcommittee.com[/email]

See you in a couple of weeks!!!

          Best,
          Tim Smalley
