He sells static kits and aftermarket items for the Revell Type VII and the S boat kits. He is talking about getting into RC subs as well.

I misunderstood what Grank Groza was donating - I will let him explain in his own words...

"Tim,
I noticed on the Subcommittee site that you said I was donating 2 gel batteries. If things go right, that will be 2 CASES of batteries. I have several sizes of 6v and 12v cells. Most are Panasonic.

I'm trying to get my Revell type vii done for the show. It's kinda hard working 12hr. shifts for 5 and 6 days a week!

Johnson Litho Graphics, the folks that do such a great job printing the SubCommittee REPORT have kindly agreed to make a donation to the SubRegatta. They are going to print and pad up some nifty SubRegatta 2005 1/4" ruled tablets for us to hand out at the Saturday Night Sub Seminar. Besides doing the SCR, Johnson does a lot of printing for us at my office and they do GREAT work - and Wendy is a first class peach!

AL BASS DONATES $90 EZ-UP CANOPY TENT TO SUBREGATTA RAFFLE TO BE A PRIZE ON SUNDAY!


Al Bass ® - a retired school principal - has enjoyed building and running subs for years. Here he and Virgil Brown (l), discuss Al's new Swedish SHO sub model. The canopy he is donating will be much like the one under which he and Virg are standing.

SubRon6 founding member Alvin "Al" Bass has offered to donate one of those neat "Ez-up canopy tents" for us to use as a shelter for the raffle prize table. On Sunday, the TENT will be one of the raffle prizes. This figures out to be a $90 raffle prize donation by Mr. Bass. Thanks Al!

By the way - if you own one of these tents and are coming to the SubRegatta - feel free to bring it along!

I think you're doing a great job of "procuring" and advertising all of the raffle prizes. I've been including the Sub Regatta info with my scale reports at Cleveland Model Boat Club meetings. There are a few other people in my club interested in subs, and I've been using the info to set the hook.
