I just thought it might be fun to see who is coming to the Regatta in July and what they are bringing. I am planning on bringing my one and only sub, the scratchbuilt 1/72
USS Silversides (SS-236). Can't wait!
hey Jonathon, I was going to wait till it was closer and start this very topic! But not that the ball is rolling, I will be there with 2 working subs, an 8' type IX in 1/32nd scale, and a scratch built 1/32nd type IIC, both subs fire torpedos, can't wait............ Wow, Christmas in July, in Carmel.... e-gads,,, "COME ON JULY"..... Jeff Jones St.Louis MO.
Too old to Rock- n- Roll, too young to die ! Subs are just my speed......
I plan on attending with my 2 working subs. A Scale Shipyard 1/72 scale SKIPJACK; and BARB, a Thor Design PERMIT. I'll also be bringing my 1/96 scale BALAO class, finished or not. The BALAO class will be one of the Manitowoc, WI., built boats.
I have heard from a lot of folks who are coming that don't regularly post on the SC website.
For instance, Dave Keoh - the new owner of SubTech from the UK will be there, Tom Anderson, Will Oudmeyer and Mike Dory from California, Skip Asay - New Jersey, Tony Gallonio - Rhode Is, Dave Merriman - Virgina, Dick Bernier, Dan Sinstead - Canada, the Rochester NY gang, a husband and wife from Florida, most of SubRon6 (about 20 people) etc, etc, etc.
All I can say is you had better not wait to make your room reservations!
...I've been trying to reply to your e-mail, but the address in your forum account (pearia-jones@worldnet.att.net) does not work. What's your current e-mail address?
Sounds like were going to have a full house. I am looking
forward to getting out and seeing alot of new faces. I plan on bringing my Sub-tech Albacore and British midget X-24. Don't think all have anything else done by then. I am going to call in today and book a room, better safe than sorry.
hey Thom, I'd show up just to see your Nautilus again, that is one cool "Toy" .... Ron, I just booked a room at the Double Tree, be sure to mention the SubCommittee to get the discount. "COME ON JULY, COME ON"... JEff Jones
