    and THE SUBCOMMITTEE:

    Located at the beautiful VETERANS MEMORIAL REFLECTING POND,
    760 THIRD AVENUE SW - CARMEL, INDIANA

    HOTEL INFO: Carmel R/C Submarine SubRegatta
    August 8 - 9, 2026


    We are once again pleased to announce Hotel reservations at the
    Carmel Hilton Garden Inn, Carmel Indiana has been set up at a
    Subcommittee discounted group rate.

    The group rates are available from Thursday August 6th thru
    Sunday August 9th, 2026.
    (With a check out date of Monday August 10, 2026.)

    Thursday and Sunday’s group rate is $131 plus tax per night.
    Friday and Saturday group rate is $141 plus tax per night.

    Rooms with One King with a sofa bed, or two Queen Beds are available.

      2026 CARMEL R/C SubRegatta “LUNCH and LEARN”
      and New events.


      WE are again pleased to announce on Saturday August 8, 2026
      we will again have a LUNCH and LEARN session under the tent.

      This year we would again like to THANK Loyalhanna Dockyard for
      supplying the Pizza for our “LUNCH” portion of the LUNCH
      and LEARN s
      ession.

      As usual we are again looking for volunteers and suggestions for
      topics that are related to the R/C Submarine Hobby.

      The presentation will be limited to approximately 10 to 15 minutes
      so as to get a variation of topics.

      Please use this thread to suggest various topics related to
      the R/C Submarine Hobby.

      If you are interested in presenting a short topic please PM me
      (Don Osler) or send an e-mail to carmelraffle1@gmail.com
      or you can also PM Don Spielberger at lhdockyard@aol.com

      In addition to the Captain’s Choice Awards and Captain’s Choice
      Big Dave’s Engineering award, we will also have a
      Long Distance Traveler Award.

      Also in the works, is possibly having a “Parade of Subs” where we
      will try and get as many subs in the water at one time and line up
      for a patrol down the pond.

      Kevin McLeod our Sub Frequency control master will help
      everyone get as many subs in the water at one time!

        Carmel R/C SubRegatta 2026 T-Shirt

        We are looking for someone who can volunteer
        their time to help with the Carmel R/C SubRegatta
        2026 T-Shirt design.

        We have a previous design that we would like
        to re-use with some minor modifications and
        need someone who has access to graphic
        design software and skills to do this.

        The desired file format would be a .eps file.

        If you are interested in volunteering your time

          2026 Carmel R/C Submarine SubRegatta
          August 8 - 9, 2026
          INFO:


          REGISTRATION: Cost Per Submariner participants is $50.*

          * This Fee includes ID BADGE, Sub Model running privileges,
          Torpedo Plaque, Goodie bag, and 2 days UNDER the tent
          table space.

          NOTE: ANY Junior Submariner Captains, age 15 and under,
          AND accompanied by a 2026 Carmel SubRegatta
          Registered (ie paid) Adult, do NOT have to pay a
          registration fee. PLEASE include the Junior
          Submariner NAME when you register, for His
          or Her’s ID Badge when Pre-Registering for the event.

          **A link for the 2026 Carmel R/C Submarine SubRegatta
          pre-registration and T Shirt ordering will be posted inthe
          near future.


          SATURDAY R/C LUNCH and LEARN TECH SESSION:
          It will again be held under the tent on Saturday. Pizza will
          be provided. (Thank YOU! Loyalhanna Dockyard)
          You will have to supply your own beverage.

          FREQUENCY CONTROL: ALL SUBMARINERS must operate on
          the legal 75 MHz or 27 MHz land frequencies. Amateurs using the
          radio control model craft frequencies (6 meter), or 433 MHz must
          have a label indicating the station call sign and the station licensee’s
          name and address affixed to the station transmitter.

          Please indicate your Frequency when you pre-register.

          This will help us get the max Subs out in the water without
          frequency interference.

          Any questions can also be answered at the morning
          Captain’s meeting.

          CAPTAIN PRE-REGISTRATION: If you want your BADGE
          to have a particular name or Business shown please indicate
          this when you pre-register.

          RAFFLE: The Raffle will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

          Proceeds from this raffle funds this event. Please see the
          2026 Carmel R/C Submarine SubRegatta Raffle post for
          a preview of some of the donated R/C model goodies to
          be raffled off.

          SWAP TABLE: We will again have a SWAP table for both
          Saturday and Sunday. YOU are responsible for selling your
          own gear. Mark it clearly with the price and your name so
          your potential buyer can track you down.

          2026 CAPTAIN CHOICE Awards and Big Dave
          ENGINEERING Award:


          All Carmel 2026 R/C Submarine SubRegatta registered
          Sub Mariner Captains will vote for their favorite R/C
          Submarine that is present at the Carmel 2026 R/C
          Submarine SubRegatta.
          (Captain Choice Awards)

          There will be a second ballot to select the best Engineered
          R/C Submarine at the Carmel 2026 R/C Submarine SubRegatta.
          Again, ALL 2026 R/C Submarine SubRegatta registered Sub
          Mariner Captains will vote for this award.

          2026 Carmel T- shirt:
          Presently the Carmel 2026 R/C Submarine SubRegatta T- Shirt
          is in process. T-Shirt pictures and more information on price
          and ordering information to follow.
