This weekend would have been our 7th Annual Carmel Sub Fun Run. A gathering of
Radio Control Sub Captains that meet at the Carmel Reflecting Pond to Run and Display their
boats with fellow RC Submarine enthusists. These RC Submariner Captains travel from far and
wide to show off their latest boats and have fun with folks they normally don’t get to see.
The weekend is typically filled with Boats running in the pond, Submariners showing off
their latest Submarines and discussing their latest RC projects. A Raffle table filled with
all sorts of RC goodies, a Swap table and RC Submarine tech sessions are all part of the
weekend festivities.
BUT this is 2020. The Year of the Pandemic. Unfortunately we had to cancel the
physical event. SO we decided to hold a sorta virtual event instead to ensure
social distancing and the safety of all participants.
If you feel better wearing your mask while viewing, that’s o.k..
It is tradition that we post Carmel Fun Run pictures. So if you have a particular picture
from past years that you would like to post here, feel free. I have included a bunch
from years past.
Hopefully this pandemic mess will be over soon and we can meet again next year.
