7th Annual 2020 Carmel R/C Submarine Fun Run INFO AUGUST 8 - 9, 2020

REGISTRATION: Cost Per Submariner participants is $15. This Fee includes
ID BADGE, Sub Model running privileges, Torpedo Plaque, and UNDER the
tent table space.

**A link for the 2020 Carmel Submariner pre-registration will be posted in the near future.

FREQUENCY CONTROL: ALL SUBMARINERS must operate on the
legal 75 MHz, 27 MHz land frequencies. Amateur Radio Operators using the radio control
model craft frequencies (6 meter), or 433 MHz must have a label indicating the station
call sign and the station licensee’s name and address affixed to the station transmitter.

Frequency Control will be set up by Kevin McLeod. Please indicate your Frequency
when you pre-register. Any questions can also be answered at the morning
Captain’s meeting.

RAFFLE: The Raffle will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from
this raffle funds this event. Please see the posted 2020 Carmel Fun Run Raffle
post for a preview of some of the donated R/C model goodies to be raffled off.

SATURDAY R/C LUNCH and LEARN TECH SESSION:
to be held under the tent. ***

SATURDAY R/C SUBMARINE TECH SESSION: From 6:30 to 8 PM, at the
Hilton Garden Inn, we will be having various presenters discussing R/C Submarine
Related Topics.

SWAP TABLE: We will again have a SWAP table for both Saturday and Sunday.
YOU are responsible for selling your own gear. Mark it clearly with the price and
your name so your potential buyer can track you down.

2020 Carmel Sub Fun Run Tech session and “Lunch and Learn”.

Due to the success and positive comments from the 2019 Carmel Sub Fun Run Tech session,
we are pleased to announce we are planning on having a Saturday August 8th, 2020 night
R/C Sub Tech session as well as a Saturday noon Lunch and maybe a Learn session (TBD) while we eat.

The lunch will be a Firehouse sub deluxe box lunch that will be delivered to the Carmel Reflecting Pond.
As per last year, you can sign up for the lunch when you pre-register.

(A special thanks goes out to Bob and Helen Gesking for researching arranging this great lunch option.)

If you are planning to attend, we would like to get some ideas on what R/C Submarine topics
you would like to hear about.

For example: ballast systems, batteries, and so forth.

Depending on the amount of subjects, the discussions would be around 10-15 minutes each,
as we a limited amount of time in the discussion room.

Please use this thread to give us some ideas.

The 2020 7th Annual CARMEL SUB FUN RUN AUGUST 8 - 9 2020
CARMEL, INDIANA is CANCELED due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

PLEASE join us in 2021 as we will celebrate the 2021 7th Annual
CARMEL SUB FUN RUN in CARMEL, INDIANA .

The 2021 7th Annual CARMEL SUB FUN RUN dates will be posted
later this year.

If you have made any Hotel Reservations for the 2020 7th Annual
CARMEL SUB FUN RUN, please remember to cancel.

The decision to cancel this event was not an easy task. We waited
as long as we could in the event that the COVID-19 virus would
clear up enough to warrant a safe and successful event.

Therefore, please use this time to safely enjoy the RC Submarine Hobby.
See you in 2021 for the 7th Annual CARMEL SUB FUN RUN!
