I use 3D, but in no way am I anything but a hack at it.
I think the future is going to be mixed media and 3D printing will only get better. So, great topic!
If you can cut, drill, saw, hit things and swear a lot, you're well on the way to building a working model sub.

I'm planning on attending and would be most open to presenting on any topics that is felt I can contribute to.

I'm also checking my inventory for donations for the raffle. I plan on bringing a few boats up with me, including my 35th Disney Nautilus, a 96th Foxtrot, my 3D printed Argo Hippocamp, and (if the gods smile upon me) the fully completed and ready to go 30th scale Type XXI. Anyone needing some stick time is welcome to let me know.

Hi Bob! First, glad to see that you're "back", and doing well!

I'm delighted to hear that you'll be able to both be at Carmel, and bring some boats! Looking forward to seeing you again!

Good as place as any to ask this, since it's making me think about getting models running, was there a list published on the forum by Kevin McLeod on what the open channels were from his survey last year?

                        Thanks,
                        Pete

I don’t think he has published anything yet. I think the best solution would be to contact Kevin (PM him) and see how busy the channels you would like to use has been in the past Carmel Fun Runs.

SATURDAY AUGUST 10TH LUNCH AND LEARN

In addition to the evening R/C Sub Tech session, have planned a lunch
and learn for Saturday August 10th, 2019.
                            * The learning part will be presented by Don Spielberger.
He will be laying up a fiberglass hull live and in person
and talking about all the in's and out's of fiberglass work.

We have a lunch planned for those that don't want to bring
their own or go out and get it.*
The lunch will be a Firehouse sub deluxe box lunch that will
be delivered to the Carmel Reflecting Pond.
*Note that you are responsible to obtain your own beverage.

The details of the lunch are:

The deluxe box lunch contains two meats (Virginia honey ham and smoked turkey breast),
provolone cheese, lettuce, and tomato; Mayo and deli mustard on the side.*
The Box lunch also comes with chips and a dill pickle.*

Cost is $11.00 and this will cover the complete cost of the box
lunch as described, tax, delivery and a tip for the driver.*

As we need to order a few days before, we will need to pre-sell
these lunches and also pre-pay.* There will be a purchase button
set up on the Carmel PRE-REGISTRATION thread so that you can
purchase and pay for your lunch ahead of time.*

It will NOT be possible to buy a Firehouse Subs box lunch at the
site so if you are going to want one then make sure you sign up for one.*

Of course you are free to do whatever you want for lunch, this is just
an option to save time and hassle for those that would rather maximize
their fun time and minimize their worrying about lunch time.

We will take orders up through Sunday August 4.
At that time the purchase button will be closed.

A special thanks goes out to Bob and Helen Gesking for researching
                            arranging this great lunch option.

Also a big Thank You to Don Spielberger for presenting the
                            LUNCH and LEARN presentation.
