Sub Fest 2018

The Wisconsin Maritime Museum has announced the dates for the 4TH Annual Sub Fest. It will be July 13-15th 2018. I hope to see more of you there in 2018.

The theme this year is the 75th birthday of the USS Cobia.

The Wisconsin Maritime Museum is ordering the t-shirts for Sub Fest. So if everyone who is planning on attending can get me their name and size I can let the museum know. Once again these are crew shirts and they are free to us.

Cool photos, Bob. Who builds the pool y'all run in and how big is it?

That would be a good question for Jim Smith. I think they have another event up there for surface ships and it came from that. The pool is is put together in the street in front of the museum before the event and taken down after.

Jim Smith designed and built the pool. He added a few redesigns this year like two large drains on the end to make emptying it faster. The fire department comes in on Saturday morning to fill it from a nearby fire hydrant. It still takes quite a while to fill but not as long as it would if Garden hoses were used.
