The fun run was great! It was terrific seeing all of you again. Hope to see all of you and more next year. Thank you to all who coordinated and arranged the weekend. Best bunch of guys and gals around. Your tireless work is very much appreciated.
Pete
We wanted to extend a THANK YOU to all who attended and contributed to a very successful 2017 fun run at Carmel.
The weather was cool for Carmel this year, which made the run very comfortable. This year we had a visit from a
WWII Sub veteran and his son who live in the Carmel area. It was our honor to talk to them and show them around.
We had a lot of subs in the pond at one time, and had a lot of folks stop by to watch them run.
There was a flurry of action at the swap table, and lots of discussions about how model subs worked and
were able to be controlled under water.
We had 2 full days of great prizes on the raffle table. Thanks to all who attended.
The winners of the Captains Choice and Big Dave Engineering awards will appear on a separate post.
Key People and Groups of Note:
All of the Vendors and Folks who donated items to the raffle, and bought raffle tickets.
Thank You!
Vendors
KMc Designs, Kevin McLeod
Loyalhanna Dockyard, Don Spielberger
Nautilus Drydocks, Bob Martin
RC Submariners who attended and helped out this year. We had 45 subs registered for the Captains
Choice this year. With some non registered boats, we estimated over 55 RC subs were in attendance.
Besides having fun running their subs, these folks bought lots of raffle tickets, and helped with set up and tear
down.
