2017 4th Annual Carmel Sub Fun Run

The T shirt design been submitted and is in process. As per last year, these shirts can be purchased
when the 2017 Sub Fun Run pre-registration link becomes available. Price of the T shirts should
be close to last year's.

I'm going to take an opportunity to expand on Don's statement above on 2.4GHz equipment use.

We haven't made mention of 2.4 GHz with respect to subs at the Fun Run because there are no RF management issues with it. All the (legal) 2.4 GHz equipment manages itself from a frequency/channel sharing perspective, and there are no limitations on what types of vehicle you may use it with, so you're free to use it in any way that suits you. I will ask people to identify when they register if they are using 2.4 GHz in their subs, but only so I know that they have positively identified what band(s) they are using (as opposed to using one of the bands that does need to be managed but haven't identified themselves).

We have always had the shirts available up through 5X in the past and will continue to do so. We will have pricing around April 10 or so

...according to the Hilton reservation web site, the SubCommittee room rate is not available. Can someone get the block of rooms expanded?

Hi Jeff. Chris Campbell just emailed to say he was able to get a few more rooms for us, but the hotel is now full. When these rooms are booked, you will have to try another hotel in the area.

Just got word that we have 3 additional rooms that are available on a first come first served basis. This is at the Hilton garden Inn in Carmel Indiana. Advise that you book quickly if you are planning to attend cause they will go fast. Again thanks Chris Campbell for working with the Hilton Garden to get these rooms.

CAPTAIN CHOICE Big Dave's ENGINEERING Award

This year in addition to the CAPTAIN CHOICE Awards, we will be presenting
a new award.

The CAPTAIN CHOICE Big Dave’s ENGINEERING Award.

ALL Carmel 2017 Sub Fun Run registered R/C Sub Mariner Captains, in addition to
voting for their favorite R/C Submarine (CAPTAIN CHOICE) will also have a
2nd ballot to select what they believe is the best Engineered R/C Submarine
at the Fun Run.

As per last year, each participating R/C Submarine will be assigned a NUMBER.
This NUMBER will be used to identify the R/C Submarine on the voting Ballots.

ALL participating R/C Submarines are eligible for the CAPTAIN CHOICE Award
AND the CAPTAIN CHOICE Big Dave’s ENGINEERING Award.

REGISTRATION: Cost Per Submariner participants is $15.
(One time registration is good for both days of the Fun Run)
This Fee includes ID BADGE, Sub Model running privileges, Torpedo Plaque,
and under the tent table space.

ALL Model Submariners MUST be registered to participate at the event.
On Site registration will also be available.

PRE-Registering: Please indicate your TX Frequencies so we might take care
of any Radio Conflicts.

If you have any preferences for your name and or SubRon for your ID Badge, please
indicate this when you pre-register.

2017 CARMEL SUB FUN RUN T-SHIRT:



These high quality 100% cotton T-Shirts are silk screened on the front and back.
This year the T-Shirt is light gray.

$24 for 5X

ALL T-SHIRT Orders must be received on or before June 30th, 2017.

NOTE: It is preferred that all T-SHIRT orders must be picked up at the event.
