2016 Carmel Fun Run Wrap Up
We wanted to extend a thank you to all who attended and contributed to another successful 2016 fun run at Carmel. I will mention the key groups below.
The RC submariners who attended and helped out this year. This year we had over 60 RC subs, most of them were running in the pond at one time or the other. You folks help to make this event successful every year.
The people who worked to organize and support the event this year: Chris Campbell for getting the tent, tables, and chairs. Don Spielberger / Loyalhanna Dockyard for working with shirt designers to get the shirts made, printing forms, and being the official Event Vendor Sponsor. The Indy Admirals for loaning pop up tents. SubRon8 and SubComOn for performing registration and other duties at the pond. Kevin McLeod for providing frequency control.
The people that bought raffle tickets and donated to the raffle. These raffle sales contribute the bulk of the money needed to pay for this event.
Bob and Helen Gesking for getting the Pizza on Saturday when the Boy Scouts had to back out. Chris Campbell for getting the water and coolers for something cold to drink for the weekend. Laura Wagner for making all the cookies, Chex mix, and donuts. Brenda and Teresa for bringing their famous Butter Tarts.
