2016 Carmel Fun Run Captain’s Choice Award Results:
This year we had over 60 RC Submarines in attendance, with over 50 of them entered in the the contest.
Per tradition I announced that Steve Walker’s Type XXVI was not eligible to compete this year as it won first place last year. Steve was awarded a plaque to commemorate this achievement. As it turns out Steve left his Type XXVI boat at home this year anyway so there was no risk of it winning a second time in two years.
Last year we had to resolve a first place tie between Bruce Martin’s boat and Steve’s boat, with a coin toss. This year a third place tie had to be resolved with the coin toss.
Congratulations to these fine Captains for their excellent work on the winning boats.
The Results are below:
1st Place: Dwayne Hill’s Surcouf
2nd Place: Dave Welch’s Turtle
3rd Place: Bruce Martin’s I58

A minor point-it seems that we are limited to a certain size of picture attachments which means resizing the pics to a smaller pixel dimension and only being able to post 5 or 6 at a time, resulting in multiple posts. Is this something that could be improved to allow photo albums of many pics to be on just one post? Just wondering.
